Chips ETF attracts puts at highs – Yahoo Finance

The Philippines economy posted a better-than-expected growth rate in Q2 helped by a boom in manufacturing activity and export demand. GDP grew 6.4% year over year in Q2 after recording a growth rate of 5.6% in Q1. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, the economy expanded 1.9%. Investors should note that the growth rate was the fastest in five quarters. The Philippines economy grew at the rate of 7.2% in 2013, the fastest pace since 1950. Though the economy showed some signs of weakness in Q1, it soon recovered in Q2 and now appears on track to attain the full-year growth target of 6.5% to 7.5% (read: Philippines ETF in Focus on Slowing Economy ).

The fund fell from the $51 level in late July as the broader market sold off, but the stock then bounced sharply at $48.
